SMS Terms

These SMS Terms cover the SlipMate Owner Texts program from SlipMate, operated by KEMAH247 LLC. By opting in, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Program name and description

SlipMate sends account and service text messages to its customers. These are not marketing messages. You may receive:

• Sign-in links and codes: one-time links and 6-digit codes to sign in to the SlipMate Owner Portal, sent only when you request them.
• Boat alerts: alerts about your boat from SlipMate Monitor, such as low battery, loss of shore power or high bilge water.
• Account and service messages: notices that your visit report is ready, visit scheduling, and replies to your support questions.

How you opt in

You opt in on the SlipMate Owner Portal sign-in page at portal.getslipmate.com, by entering your mobile number and tapping "Text me a sign-in link". The consent text is shown directly below the button:

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying any SlipMate service. You can always sign in by email instead.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. Sign-in texts are sent only when you request them. Boat alerts are sent only when your boat needs attention.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. SlipMate does not charge for text messages, but your wireless carrier's standard message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless provider about your plan.

How to opt out (STOP)

You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any SlipMate text (you may also use END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT or STOPALL). We will send one confirmation text, and after that you will not receive further SlipMate texts unless you opt in again, for example by requesting a new text sign-in link. If you stop texts, you will no longer receive boat alerts by text.

Carrier disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messages are not a guaranteed way to get urgent alerts; delivery depends on your carrier and phone coverage.

Privacy

We do not share or sell your mobile number or SMS opt-in information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Eligibility and changes

You must be the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide. We may change these SMS Terms; we will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
